Stoopid Wahoo Bolt question... TWO records of a ride

I just bought a Wahoo Bolt. I mainly used the free Strava (still do). I linked the Wahoo app to Strava. I rode a gravel ride yesterday, and obviously i started the Wahoo Bolt at the beginning, but also started to record in Strava too. Now I have two records of the ride in Strava, one from the iPhone's Strava app, and one from the Wahoo Bolt.

Should I have only recorded the ride with the Bolt? Then it would have uploaded to Strava... ? Personally, i like the bigger numbers from the iPhone Strava recording lol (btw, i have no extra sensors for the Bolt, just the base unit)

Thanks

eric/fresno, ca.

Well let’s think about this a second.

You have 2 completely separate GPS recording devices logging your ride. Each sends, as it’s supposed to, the completed ride data to Strava.

How’s Strava to know that they are duplicate ?

Make a choice as to which device to use.

That's exactly what I'm thinking. I wasn't thinking clearly during the urgency of starting the ride yesterday and upon realizing the results today, a quick search didn't produce anything that said choose one or the other. I just wanted to see if others would confirm my thoughts. Thanks.

told you it was stoopid lol
