I really don't want to spend more than $300 on a bike. The Haro F3 is $230, but if a bike with 3 piece crank is really a whole lot better than a bike with 1 piece crank. Then I'll get the F5 for $370.

Also, are there any other bikes under $300 that I should consider looking at before buying the F3?

-Thanks
I run 1 pc cr-mo cranks on my 87 gt pro freestyle tour and I have no issues. I have gt stamped profile and new redline flights as well. I like them for that solid feeling when im laying into it but 1 pc are just easier for me.

In the 80's I found a nice Tubular One piece crank .. Japan company made , (name not remembered)

Best of kind ..

Bullseye made a 2 piece [tube spindle fixed to drive side crank,] USA ,
International patent for the design aged out..

Now Shimano and many other companies sell that kind..

Cheap cranks in 1 or 3 pc are worthless. 1 pc are way heavier and way less cool. But good old school 1 pc are strong.

I much prefer good three piece Crank set with sealed bearings as opposed to a one piece with standard bearings...

I can't tell you as a kid, how many 1 P cranks I tweaked and how many BB sets I tore up.

My issue was I was a fatguy with a lot of weight and leg torque... I could tweak a brand new set of cranks on take off... Spent a lot of time swapping them out.
