Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

One of the sweetest bikes on the board. Perfect deep red color, nice deep aero wheels without to many stickers, clean mix or new and old components, and maybe even some Nokons for added bling!

the sad thing is that it hasn't gone off road in +/- 12 years.
If your ever feeling guilty that it's not seeing any action, feel free to send it my way, I'll take it Off roading We have a lot of great Single Track Trails here down by our River. I remember one ride where my then new custom Hand built Rocky Wedge was submerged in the river up to nearly the top tube. We were riding along in the river because the trail had stopped and there was nothing but bush for a while, What a blast!

Do post some more high-res pics of that Trek. The paintjob is spectacular. Hope you've gotten rid of that blue bar tape.

If it didn't come standard with your CPC, about the only one I can think of right now would be the FSA Control Center

There are some sweet looking rides in this thread. Especially if you aren;t biased against Treks.

Well, I can't compete with the high bling entries in this thread, but since we're letting AL get in through the back door, here's my trusty oldie-but-a-goodie with some upgrades:

Some red bar tape to tie everything in and I think the whole color combo would look awesome.

I started looking and testing last December. I tried my old '84 412 and it felt so cramped and heavy.

Crappy pic. 2004 2300 Project One. Only changes from pic are ERA Pro saddle and Ultegra pedals. The pic is so bad, for some reason the color is off and the frame looks like skinny twigs.
