Mengoni guy is me, Peter Vollers, in 1986, at road nats (can't remember where). I was also on the '87 Chem Bank team but quit racing (much to Jeff Knisely's chagrin) that spring while living at David Brinton's house in LA. Ended up coming back east and attending college at UMASS Amherst where I was Collegiate National Champion in 1989 (Colorado College) before transferring to Cornell in 1990. Last year of serious racing was 1991 with IME Bolla riding with Dave Mann, Jeff Rutter, McCormack bros, Paul McCormack (Alan's bro) and Graeme Miller. Now I promote gravel events (Vermont Overland) and drink lots of Vermont craft beer!
