Interesting. I can't imagine that it's cheap to build so it won't be cheap to use.

Safe from pranksters though.

Love it. I couldn't help but wonder if we would ever see things like that here. Kinda doubt it. There was a time many years ago that other countries around the world would be in awe of the developments made here. It's definitely the other way around now. It seems that we are the ones playing catch up in certain areas.

This is old news, it was first posted here (in A&S) years ago and I suspect the concept dates back even from that.

[edit]Found it, here's the thread in A&S: https://www.bikeforums.net/advocacy-s...ping-mall.html [/edit]

I only posted this because my curiosity was peeked by an article in a Dutch biking magazine. I was unaware that automated bike parking garages existed.

The Dutch company which I came across is Lo Minck Systemen BV.

Does everything in Japan involve anime-girls in some way?

It's the craze in Japan. Remember, we are dealing with different cultures. Neither right or wrong, just different.

I spent a week in Japan about 30 years ago. The colors in outdoor advertising were gaudy by Western standards.

I'm a professional musician. The default sounds from their synthesizers (at least from 20+ years ago) were too bright by Western standards. It's a different culture.

Unless you mean the TB303 = too bright = too awesome!

Anime is as popular, diverse, and common as live action media, so think of all the places you see the west's heavily photoshopped females, mystery solved.
