"Spring" just deposited 6" of white, fluffy stuff in my driveway.
Predictions for tonight were 2"-3". The road in front of my house goes up a long'ish, small hill. Six cars got stuck and I just came in from helping them get up the hill.
The big snow is supposed to come tomorrow, with another 6"-10" supposedly on the way. Maybe it will miss us.

Yeah, I could have used it to tow those cars up the hill.

Actually our complete forecast is:
We had 6" to 7" of snow last night.
Freezing rain/sleet is supposed to begin at 6PM today. This will be followed by heavy snow, with another 7" to 14" expected. After midnight the winds are supposed to pick up, gusting to 40mph, creating 3'-6' snow drifts by Sunday morning.
I think much of the upper Midwest is getting hammered by this one. Upstate Wisconsin and Minnesota may get close to 20" tonight.

Rainy last week with temps in the 30s at night in LA.
It is about 65 today and clear and bright with high
clouds but the wind is about 35 mph and that plays
havoc with bike riding for me. It is rarely EXACTLy to
my back and it is a hindrance coming AND going...
What happened with Puncxatany Phil anyway... I thought it was supposed to be a short winter?

We got something like 18" over two nights. Then the wind gusts created some pretty drifts. There were places in my yard where I could see the grass, there were other places where it was 3' deep.
One of the places where a drift formed was on the hood of my Integra. It was 38" deep on top of the hood with the top of the drift being over my head. I dug it out right after taking pics. Whew! It wasn't only deep, it was a wet, heavy snow.

My Saturday club ride got canceled by a dust storm. I'm not sure how high the winds got, but there were traffic lights facing the wrong way everywhere, and power lines down near here.
Today started out cool, and the north wind was brisk, but it warmed into the 60's, and I got in 70 miles.

Nice day here in east Tennessee with temperatures in the mid 60's, but very windy. I'm not used to strong wind (25+) and it nearly blew me over a couple of times. Scary in traffic.
