Cinelli Mash Histogram vs. UCI rules?
Does the Cinelli Mash Histogram frameset meet UCI rules? Looking at the geometry in comparison to the UCI rules, I don’t really see a problem with the frame itself. However browsing this forum there seem to be a lot of confusion on the subject… Either way, can anyone here possibly verify what the deal is?
Cheers!

Unless you intend to compete in UCI sanctioned events, who cares?
It's like the NJS fetish: unless you're a professional keirin rider, what difference does it make?

Also, in all seriousness, why does it need to be up to UCI standards?

I want to play along, but don't have anything witty to add.

It doesn’t have to comply with UCI standards, not as such. It’s merely a measure to ensure that I can actually build the bike within budget. For instance I don’t want to get caught up in a weight weenie project that I can’t afford to complete.

Yeah, that justification doesn't make any sense.

They don’t! But by “playing by the rules” so to speak, I can afford to build just about the best bike money can buy. At least in principle I wouldn’t mind spending $3-4K on a custom made frame, but with no restrictions in terms of weight, design geometry and so on, I would need an unrestricted budget.
Eventually I might go for a custom build , but for a first build the Mash Histogram does seem to meet my criteria, let alone my wallet. In any event I will need gain some mileage to determine what works and what doesn’t.
