Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

A set of Supacaz Fly Cage Carbon water bottle cages. Didn't like the S-WORKS one so I went with the Supacaz for my Sl8.

A complete waste of money if you ask my opinion, but whatever

Cages and a vest. Both worked perfectly today.

For Blue Bella:

a used Campagnolo Racing T crankset 52,42,30T, 175mm
39T chainring
24T chainring
chainring bolts
a 3x7 MicroNew set of brifters, FD, RD
Tektro R359 brake calipers, nutted

No pics - just ordered them all from eBay. I decided to leave red Bella intact, so Blue Bella will be an n + 1 now.

when it comes to making things right involving someone else stuff, cheap can't be applied. Frugal yes, avoidance in correcting the mess up is a fat no.

LOL.. yea he called me a couple of days later to see if we would watch his dog when he and his girlfriend were out of town for a few days. I told him our charge for 4 days was $65 or he was free to pay $35 a day at the local dog daycare joint. My wife was not onboard, but she loves their dog, but I was not coming off this and told her why I was sticking to my stance, which she then backed my up. She told him, do not bring the dog over unless you bring the $65 or you will not be leaving your dog. He venmo'd me the money about 25 mins later.

These just arrived in the mail, I screwed up on ordering the headset and a black one appeared instead of Violet, the shop is swapping it out for the appropriate color. These are for my oldest daughter's new road/cross bike which will be the new green/purple Trek Crockett. Rims will be from lightbicycle, 45

Warning: MTB content, but I also got new brake rotors and a cassette for my existing "race" wheelset. This set up saves over 2.5lbs compared to stock. I'll run the stock set up for general trail riding and the other set up will be for XC racing.

Top pic is stock, bottom is the 'xc' set up. The XC set up kinda has the 'it skipped leg day" vibe, but it should feel snappy with these wheels.

I have a PI jacket AmFib jacket that does not breath well, and I get pretty hot in it. This one is fairly soft, and made of GoreTex. We'll see how it goes.

I can't stand hi-vis yellow clothing. I get the visibility thing though.

I'm more a radioactive lime green type myself -

Glows in the dark it does!

(Found a couple long t-shirts that color I can wear over pretty much anything else when biking.)

Neon T-shirts don’t sound very aero.
