Is this a good deal?

I found this on the local ads and was wondering if this is a good deal. Please let me know if it is.

Thanks,
folderguy

Alex Moulton TR8 - $1000 (Haverford, PA)
If you are familiar with these bikes, there is little I can can say to add or detract. If you are familiar with the brand, you know exactly what they look like and everthing about them. If not, the learning curve may be a bit steeper. Google Alex Moulton bikes and you will see all models. This one is a beauty. It has the carrying bag and support over the back wheel. It is Robin's Egg blue, and it is flawless. Like new. Not a scratch or smudge. It is eight-speed, with a rear hub Sturmey Archer gearbox. Depite the size of the bike, it is extremely nimble, fast, and durable. Tubular steel frame that separates, but it is NOT a folding bike. The Moulton is too stable and well-made for that, although they will slip into a train with the greatest of ease. They also ride smoother than any bike I know of this type, with an innovative front and rear shock absorber. They are the best town bike in the world, and Londoners have been riding them since the 1950s. This bike is the genuine article. It was made in Bradford Upon Avon at the Pashley factory.

I have $2,700 in the bike. I am sacrificing it, as I am relocating to a terrain not suitable for it. Serious inquiries only. $1000 cash.[/SIZE]

Sounds good and by his post it sounds like he knows what he has, but be careful that its not stolen.. if he has any receipt that will help.

Also check the Registration number and google it to see if someone has registered as stolen!

Best of luck,

Juan
