"Italian" Beta bike question
Seller posted this bike locally. Seller is a flipper who seems to have no clue about bikes. Not really looking at it but the Columbus sticker caught my eye. Missing sticker on seat tube probably said what it was. Wheels appear to be Mavic MA40, with Shimano 600 hubs and brakes. Unable to see derailleurs or shifters well enough to guess what they are.
There was an Italian motorcycle company named Beta but no idea if they make bikes.

I included a photo of the seat out of amusement

Since seller calls it an "Italian" bike that was assembled in Canada could it be a Miele??

Miele Beta checks out on the googles as A Thing That Exists, but I dug no deeper. Nice call!

@Fahrenheit531 - Not sure I'm right on it being a Miele Beta because ones I've seen had different graphics than this has.
Perhaps @Miele Man might know??

Are those the "triangle" Shimano 600 pedals, with clips?

@madpogue - Sorry. Tried blowing up photos and can't be certain, though they do look like they are triangular.

I think yes. Someone's gonna buy the bike just for the unobtainium clips.

IIRC, Torpado also had a Beta model but this does look like a Miele. Cromor and New 600EX would be correct for a 1987 Miele Beta. One thing that definitely wouldn't be correct are the Mavic rims.

I'll pass on this one.
I just got two (BRC mountain bike and an Ascente Aerolite) and I still have a neighbors old Bottecchia I'm rebuilding for her.
Anyone else who's hungry, have at it.
