How long can I expect my Chrome bag to last?
I was wondering whats the life expectancy of my Chrome bag. Also, do they normally fix stuff on the bags for free? [Lifetime warranty]

They last a long damn time and you'll probably find another use for it before it wears out, I now use mine to store dead hookers.

It will last long enough to where you'll want something else just out of curiosity before your chrome even shows signs of wear. I've been wearing mine everyday for 3 years now and the only wear it shows is the strap is getting a little fray from the metal teeth and a hole on the top from road rash when I wrecked.

Mines been going strong for over a year now. The strap below the buckle is starting to fray a little. It also saved my @ss when I got hit by a moped and slid across the asphalt on it, only a couple small holes and scuffs in the cordura.

true dat.
I ran with one for 5 years. At the end of that, the strap is pretty frayed from being adjusted, i broke and replaced a bunch of the buckles, cracked the seatbelt buckle, and the inner liner is no longer completely waterproof, so an additional layer is needed for long rides in the soaking rain.
I bought a new bag at that point, but the chrome bag is still going strong for a second owner.

I've had mine for 5 years of daily (although generally medium-duty) use. The fabric is scuffed where I fell a couple of times and is a little fuzzy on the bottom, and the parts that get road gunk on them are a bit gray. The liner has a couple of little holes wearing in it which I patched with Goop on the outside. The buckle has small amounts of rust on it. Otherwise, it's in great shape. Held up much better to much more abuse than my Timbuk2 did before it. Even the velcro is still pretty functional.

Mine is going for nearly 3 years.
I had to wash out the inside once due to the smell of beer inside. Used a pressure washer and thats all I have ever done to it besides take off the flap logo and replace it with a light.

My non-Chrome bag has lasted 10 years of near daily use.
Looks a bit shabby now though. And there's the old sweat smell.....
Mmmm....pheremones

i'm getting tired of the c-bag, they're starting to be the new timbuk2 as far as popularity with non-cyclists goes. but its holding up like a champ, the only problem is that the strap somehow got a twist in it last week and i'm too lazy to fix it
