Carry Me Gearing
I'm reading that the gear inches for the single speed CarryMe are (6x8) = 48.
Does anyone know what the gear inches for the two speed are ?
Many thanks !

the gear ratio is 84/14 = 6.
CarryMe is equipped with 8 inch wheels and the diameter inch is "Gear Ratio" X "Wheel Diameter" = 6 X 8 = 48.
the two speed version uses Schlumpf Speed Drive yielding a 1.65 overdrive ratio in addition to the stock gearing of 48 gear inches .

Found the answer, I think, the higher gear in the Schlumph box gives a 1:65 uplift which puts the second gear at circa 79 inches.
So its a higher gear, not a granny gear.
Maybe the single speed is a better buy for pootling in that case

Drat, my plan was to travel the Belgian coast tramway, end to end (70kms), and i thought the Carryme would be an ideal companion, but alas the size limit of luggage on the Eurostar is 85cm for any one dimension, and the CarryMe is 93cms.
Maybe I will have to get a Brompton instead.

Can attest that both mezzo and hoptown are happily accepted by Eurostar - accompanied by sarcastic remarks "are you doing the tour de france?"
