Latest upgrade to the Nirve cruiser I purchased last year is a 3 piece crankset using the Truvativ American to Euro adapter kit.
Other than the frame and fork, the only stock parts left on it are the shifter and rear derailleur. But they may be replaced next.

It's been nice viewing the previous posts/pictures. My first time on the Cruiser section. Here's a Trek Cruiser (not vintage/old), that I picked up for our 12 year old daughter for $55 the other day. I had to give it a spin of course and enjoyed the "feel" of it! My husband and I think it's pretty. : )

Electra Cruiser 1 with 2 speed power
I saved this beast from the dumpster! Added the following;
1. Bontrager front bag
2. Re-used some old bar tape to cover up the ugly handlebars
3. Re-used old Specialized grips
4. New Electra taco bell
5. Old Electra light
6. Serviced the Sturmey-Archer two-speed hub and BB
7. Lightly used tires from my wife's bike

Banned.
My fathers old bike with new tubes tires grease and bearings with spokes and hoops adjusted I broke a reflector and dented one of the rims on the test ride I hammered the dent out of sight and later installed a phelt 36T chainring to go with that 22T cog then gave it back to him he didn’t like the rear basket so I took that off sorry for not having periods It wouldn’t let me rear basket idk the bikery term for it lol

not sure how well this'll work. still don't have a new photo hosting site.
my current main rider. i don't think i've posted it in this thread before but i built it a few years back. i couldn't get a decent chain line though so it got re-experimented with several times. i finally put in an adult three speed trike hub where i had a skate wheel idler before (with two groves cut in it. it wore easy and i felt more jounce thru the pedals when the suspension worked) along with a front freewheel rear cluster so the hub always "coasts" when i'm not pedaling. even though it's the first bike i pull out to ride, i think i may add a lucky7 type seatpost 'cause i got the seat to pedal distance just out of true comfort range. if i can work out that last detail, i think i'll have a hard time making myself a better bike (dosen't mean i don't have a million other tries at it goin' though).

Philphine that is a great bike and you did a good job putting it together and now the but that is not a cruiser bike. That is a recumbent bike and I am sure they will love it in that forum. Roger

Impressive work Mr Tinker. I was at an estate sale last year and the guy had made a bunch of low rider frames, but you definitely have it kicked up a notch.

Electra Retro/Resto Mod
Always lusted after a proper post war, Monark, Hawthorne, Schwinn or other classic cruiser. The irony was that a good candidate was "too expensive" to buy outright, now a few thousand $$ later I probably could have a small fleet of classics!
Oh well. So the frame is still an Electra tall frame C1, otherwise everything else is either custom fabricated, built in-house or a custom replacement part.
Anthony Hobbs custom bars
Bone stock
Anthony Hobbs custom Monark Springer
Mock up test drive
Proper \"drink" holder
Done!
Almost done

Super deluxe
My wife’s 2015 super deluxe...got it off a lady for less than half of retail price...It was just like brand new...maybe ridden once...the plastic film was still on the chain guard...one of my best finds...
