Today was not a postal day but a trip to Pro Kote Indy for some parts that were finished. I had a frame striped by chemical process, and a bunch of Var tools re-coated that were rusted beyond normal use. Pics are below.

Is there really no other small bottle touch up paint besides Testors? I can't recall ever seeing another brand.
Yesterday I received some Serotta decals. The guy who sold me my frame stumbled on them and passed them along.
Today, I got a pair of Panaracer tubulars from Bike Recyclery today. We'll see how they perform. When I dry mounted them on some rims and inflated them, the cross section didn't feel real circular. I'll let them sit for a couple days and check on them.

I use Testors too but for super color and ease of flow I also like to use One Shot paint.....primary colors and a can of white will get you any color match that you may require, even Celeste
Expensive but ultra high quality, if cans are close properly there's enough paint to last forever. If thinned it can also be spray with an airbrush.
...metallics are another matter.
Hardcore paint colors...use the link below for higher quality images.
Do you see Bianchi Celeste or Gios blue in colors there...I do! Other matches as well, MTN 94 Spray Paint
Hardcore spray also is my go-to when I want to paint with spray.

The Var tools were powder coated. And after working on them today I will have to contact Wayne at Mel Pinto to get a few new tip bits for them. It is interesting that the repair parts for these vintage tools are still available. But for the most part they are still around, and I an glad to get them. Wayne has been great to work with and he still has tools available. I continue to buy the Var cone wrenches and a few years ago I bought the Var truing stand from him. He personally checked it for being fully operational before shipping it to me. So yes, I continue to buy and use vintage tools but I do so because they work. Heck how many folks here have even heard of Eldi tools or the best chain breaker ever made. I will have to clean the Fuji a bit and add a new headset before it goes up on the block for a new home. Smiles, MH

I've had my eye on this frame for awhile, finally pulled the trigger. Yes it includes the fork.
It turns out this is a frame that a shop in the north suburbs of Chicago specced and sold for awhile. Ron Boi of RRB fame was the seller. The frame is georgous, the color really pops. I'm trying to come up with a build design but the Bianchi and a Trek 750 come first. I'm planning things for my retirement so I don't get bored too quick.
