There is a popular local fundraising ride near me called the "Iron Tour" and the website has a picture of me.
I would ordinarily ask for royalties, but since it's all for a good cause I will take the high road and allow it.

Getting ready to meet 2 others for a ride. Another lady was supposed to come but she's a last minute cancel. Haven't seen her in a year and I was really looking forward to it.

Tagged along with Mr and Mrs bampilot for a little ride this morning. I was running a little late to meet up with them and then didn't turn back for home soon enough, so I blasted my way out and hammered my way back (to the best of my ability after yesterday, at least), making a mockery of my supposed recovery ride.
It was nice to meet the Mrs and I tried to act normal so that she wouldn't continue to suspect that Bret spends too much time online conversing with a bunch of weirdos. I think I threw her off the trail. Maybe.

Mrs. Peel is all stripped down, except the NDS crank and therefore the BB. Frakkin' threads are stripped out. I have ordered "Chuck Wedges" as the least invasive method of removal.
This bike is a whole different story from the Circuit. The Circuit was absolutely complete, missing only the Black Rubber Nub from the front brake pivot bolt, and one dropout adjustment screw cap. I needed a new stem, bar and seatpost just so it would fit, but all the original parts were still there and completely usable. The Lotus is... not as complete. Not by a long shot. Way cheaper than the Circuit was, but still.
So, I have been a busy boy on Ebay.

Today was prolly one of the most beautiful days I have seen in a long time, and then whyfi showed up,
Had a short ride with the mrs and whyfi, we didn’t last long once he peeled off. Both had pretty rough head aches.
Hoping by some luck I will feel atleast 60 percent tomorrow, currently my body still hates me.

Tooling around Amazon Mèxico, I see that I can buy two Continental Race innertubes for only US$100. Wow! What a deal! I bought four rolls of 17mm Velox rim strips for $5 apiece. I'll keep the tubes in mind in case the rim strips don't work.

Good luck with your project. Last year, I did a full rebuild of my own. It was fun...and expensive...but quite satisfying. I was surprised by how many little things I needed to complete it.

I'm currently struggling with paint color for all the many chips. "Mrs. Peel" is an appropriate name give how much of the paint is gone from places like the forks. The blue is grayer than what I have on hand, and of course you can't tell ANYTHING from pictures online.
