Matching Tires?

Before I became a McSlave, I was relying on my parents for bike cash...

They hated that when I shredded a tire, I insisted on having matching new ones...

My question is...Do you insist as well? Is there an advantage to matching tires other than style?

I can't think of any... usually I go for better traction in the front and better wear/rolling resistance in the back.

nope, when it comes to tires, fashion is not something I look for. Its all about function.

To tell you the truth I use matching tires mainly so I can swap the front to the rear and put a new one on the front. Since I normally tear through rears faster this works well for me

I use this same method. But I do have a racing set of tyres which are Minnion DHR ST on the rear and a High Roller ST on the front.

No. Much of the time I use different model/brand/size tires front and rear.

Match your tires to the conditions and your riding style. I'm currently running something different on the front and the rear.
DevilsGT2's advice is good regarding better traction in the front and better rolling resistance in the rear.
