I am partial to Italian road bikes. l have not found an Italian mountain bike in my size (XL) yet. I did find a Cinelli 'The Next Machine' and Bianchi Grizzly for my wife though.

"1991 Schwinn Paramount.
Bent wheels needs trued/replaced, rear wheel makes it not currently rideable. Otherwise great bike that can really move. All gears work smooth and as they should. Tubes and tires were replaced in fall by East Coast Bicycles.
My main commuter for the last year and it’s been great, but I’m looking to change it up and try commuting with a 29” BMX.

Wow. Both are incredible bikes, and I'd be proud to own one. But I think they may be 2nd generation - the unicrown forks give that away. That Olmo has eluded me - seller sold it in Denver. If I had bought it, I would have made it my dedicated offroad bike. The only thing I would have done to it would have been to add new tires. So the search continues. No worries, though. I still have many projects to complete this winter. I made significant progress on the Dawes Ranger tonight. This bike is gonna be SO COOL!

I lucked out on the Cinelli bike for my wife. It was literally dirt cheap. I will never find a deal like that on an Italian bike for myself. The Basso and Rossin are beauties.

Hey, since you posted it, maybe you'd want to share what you know about the framebuilder? Coming from the outside and trying to figure out what all these independent builders did and what makes their builds special is counterproductive to appreciating their innovations (if any). I've learned plenty watching this forum, but there has been at least one instance (John Stinsman, and Veloce) where a smaller independent builder has only a handful of information on them and their product shared on the forums, and on the internet. We're going to have to share the knowledge about these builders before it's gone.

Why a super corsa and not a TdF? The sticker on the fork looks like the TdF sticker. My TdF has that sticker on one side of the fork and a Reynolds sticker on the other side. Plus doesn't the super corsa have campy drop outs? The eBay bike has simplex.

While the design didn't last very long, it is now coming back on gravel bikes, but instead of elevating the chainstays, the driveside chainstay or both stays are "dropped" to allow the benefits listed above without removing the chainstay-to-BB interface that keeps that area stiff. This is the OPEN U.P.P.E.R. that is a popular, high-end carbon gravel bike designed by Gerard Vroomen of Cervelo fame, adapting the e-stay idea.

My TdF (or at least I think it's a TdF ) has a TdF sticker on the fork and the checkered flag with the SC designation on the top tube like the subject bike (and simplex drop outs)
