Schwinn Mesa Runner

My nephews wanted a cruiser to use at a shore rental this summer. I picked up this Schwinn for them, since its the right size. I already lubricated the bearings, and I'm working on the cables. New. more road-friendly tires will be added along with a rear rack.

Any other suggestions? Seems like a nice solid ride.

Are the brake pads as old as the tires? I'd probably replace the pads, too.

Nice bike, btw.

Oil or wax the chain and depending upon what you or your nephew likes, new grips. Otherwise, it looks like a good bike, I like it.

Take a look at the Maxxis DTH tires. They work great for a beach cruiser and look amazing.

Mesa Runner

That's a good, simple, strong bike.

Big Red
I just bought a blue painted twin to the red Mesa Runner I modified to use in the Clunker Challenge #5 . I'm amazed at how much I like "Big Red".
