Arkel's mount is very solid , reliable..

Unsurprisingly, They want a slice of the bikepacking bag sales as well..

Columbia Icefield Parkway, between Lake Louise and Jasper AB, Canada. It's at the top of a unique large hairpin turn on the climb up to the Icefield summit.

On google maps this is where it is looking:

The bars have flared drops. 15" between the hoods where the hands sit and just shy of 18" between the drops. Its a pretty straightforward setup. Brake hoses and cables should clear but can be rerouted as needed. My main concern is the narrow space between the hoods and drops. Much of what's out there seems geared toward flat bar MTB.

Either size Apidura Backcountry bar bag will fit. I already own three of their products and not knowing any better would just buy the bar bag to match what I already have.

The Revelate Pronghorn looks nice - very simple and light, made from Dyneema. Size small looks like it will fit. My guess is that any dry bag could be used with the harness.

What else should I be looking at?

I know there are a lot of boutique manufacturers out there and like people who think outside the box. I'm open to suggestions. I don't mind spending the money for something nice.

I have seen people trying to shove a dry bag between the hoods where it interferes with shifting their brifters or the shifter cables interfere with it.* Given that the OP cited the distance between the hoods, the OP was concerned about putting the harness where it would mount the bag between the hoods.

I am not sure why you were offended so much.

Feel free to not bother.

Participation here is optional.

You only make yourself look foolish with this sort of comment.

It's not my fault you don't have experience with bikepacking HB systems and can only offer suggestions that do not apply to the question at hand. It's like talking about tents in a hammock thread. As Tim says, participation is optional.

Ps. I am not a henchman. My contract clearly states the job title of minion and I take that role seriously!
