This guy's persistent, calling it a Schwinn Shogun three times in the ad, but it might be worth a look for somebody. Maybe you can talk him down on the price.

Because to everyday people any old bike is a Schwinn.

Vintage Trek site's 1985 brochure has a smudge at that frame-size spot, but the chart shows seat-tube measurements of 59.6 and 63.5. I'd guess the latter.

Thanks!

Too bad. I've noticed a lot of tall bikes lately.

^^^^^ I wonder if he'd throw the bike in if I bought a set of tires for my pickup-bed trailer.... (well, and if he wasn't 1000-ish miles away....)

Yeah, I tried to research the brakes. There were a couple brands similar to these from late 80s early 90s. But the closest were the Avid Tri Align. They sell for a pretty penny.

i'd pay $45US for these....but the shipping would likely result in a much higher total cost.

Supergo!

Anyone remember Supergo? They are often remembered fondly, and with great nostalgia. This MTB is sporting a Columbus decal, and the thumb shifters alone are probably worth the $65 purchase price:

Personally I prefer to buy bikes that are not my size. Proceeds from deals on bikes that don't fit provide me the funds to pay FMV for bikes that don't fit. If I waited for deals in my size, I'd be waiting a long time, and I would miss out on the best deals.

I wish I had the patience for that, but throwing away 1/2 of my day off (or more) on a CL deal that falls through, is something that I prefer to go through as seldom as possible. YMMV.

Bridgestone RB1 LIKE NEW 19" (49cm) - $550 (Newton)

If you are looking at this you may know of Bridgestone bikes and the RB1. Bridgestone Japanese made bikes are famous for their quality and the RB1 was the best bike in the line. It was Grant Peterson's design for what a great road bike should be. This bike looks and rides like brand new with no scratches in the paint and only slight tears in the adhesive RB1 sticker. The bike comes with peddles not shown in the pictures.

The components are Shimano Ultegra 600 and the rims have been upgraded to Mavic Open Pro on the original Ultegra hubs. The cassette and chain show no wear like the bike was barely ridden. The frame is 022E Ishiwata seamless heavily butted tubing. This was equivalent or better than any Reynolds or Columbus tubing available.

The Bridgestone catalog is available on https://sheldonbrown.com/bridgestone/1992/1992.pdf . The catalog will tell you the story of the bike as only Grant Peterson could. This is a later RB1s and it is lighter and has better components than early bikes that already had rave reviews.
You could ride this bike trouble free for many years and there would be collectors who would still be anxious to buy it. Compare this bike to what you can buy new at three times this price and I think you will be as excited about these bike as I have been.

'94 Bridgestone RB-T, 50cm - $650 (North sandwich)

A resurrected Bridgestone RB-T. 50cm Frame, 52.5cm top tube. 3X7 gears.
Kept as original as possible. Rear wheel is professionally rebuilt. Nitto Randonneur handlebars, Shimano DX hubs, RX100 cranks and front derailleur, Shimano mountain LX rear derailleur, Shimano bar-end shifters.
The top tube has some scratches, and these have been touched up with Bridgestone frame paint. Looks great from 15 feet, but up close you can make out the blemishes. Planet bike fenders are included. Conti Top Touring tires have about 1,000 miles on them. Plenty of life left.
No pedals included.
Bicycle is ready to ride/tour/commute. Needs nothing.
Thank you for your interest!
