Are saddles interchangable?

I've got a Trek Fuel EX 9.7 2018 bike and I'd like to replace the original saddle (Evoke 2) with a Specialized Phenom Comp or Phenom Expert saddle. Is it going to work?

Virtually all saddle rails fit virtually all seat posts. Of course some fits are sightly more difficult than others. Go for it!

Almost any saddle will work on any seatpost. What matters is what saddle fits you best.

Thank for your answers. I've done bike fitting and Phenom saddle has been recommended for me.

Sometimes the position and length of the rails on a saddle create an impediment for specific bikes and seatpost combinations. Frame geometry and seatpost setback impose restrictions on what saddles will work, so occasionally you have to try a few different ones. Sometimes you might have to change the seatpost to use a specific saddle. Fortunately inexpensive saddles and seatposts work just as well as expensive ones so you can have a small collection and try different combinations.
