Best 5-7 day options in the UK

Flying into London in mid-September and looking for ideas for a week long bike tour. Will need to rent bikes. We did a hub and spoke tour from Edinburgh two years ago and loved it.
Leading contenders are Loch Lemond, Isle of Skye,Lake District/Hadrians Wall...

Because of their Connecting railroad system you could see all those places
as a day or 2 ride,
then next day move on to your next best place to visit..

I liked the railroad Museum in Doncaster..

You'll get more local information on the UK touring sites. Look for cyclechat and cyclinguk forums.

Depending on how far you like to go per day - a 5-7 day big loop around the lake district, Yorkshire dales and north pennines would be pretty nice.

I am cycling the lon las cymru end of August, will let you know how it is.
No ideas about bike hire unfortunately, but starting and ending somewhere thats on the same trainline might be an idea
