rode it northwest to southeast today. pavé in fantastic condition both sides of road. just a few rox and a little mud on the shoulder southeast side at the summit closest to modjeska but nothing to fret over. bombed down live oak rd to trabuco canyon. sign was up that the trabuco creek crossing just south of the general store was closed but it thankfully turned out to be false (def didn’t feel like climbing back up live oak at that point). there were approx 10 caltrans dudes actively rocking the creek with 4 bulldozers in play and a ton of sandbags deployed on the lowish bridge with more rain in the forecast, that particular crossing still is a day of and day after rain-likely closed. two days after rain-probably open.

only saw saw a handful of road workers on santiago cyn but they were doing surveying.

I rode the canyon yesterday from Jamboree up to the trailhead at the end of Silverado Canyon and back to Jamboree. Road conditions were good the whole way. New areas of pavement are excellent. They also fixed that nasty bump/grate that was on the downhill side of Dump Hill just past the 241 off ramp. I sAw at least 6 drivers pass other cars in the two lane sections. A bit disconcerting to see them moving that fast on wet pavement. I don’t often see this, maybe because other drivers were (sensibly) going slower due to the wet conditions.
