Awesome link, thanks! I should have remembered, that the post 1981 "W" were from Nottingham.. I knew it waaay back in the day..

Any additional comments on the quizzical pump peg... or were you thinking that it ought (might) be inconsistent with an English mfg frame?

No, I just received a 1987 Raleigh today, and it still had one, so yeah, maybe not as interesting as thought. My only personal reference for this actual paint scheme is my Land Shark Raleigh, which has a Race Number Hanger instead. Anything 531c is nice stuff. We also just got in a 531c 1984 Raleigh Panasonic Team Replica (Nottingham as well) this week. Very light..

Saddle used on a 1984 Raleigh Racing USA Grand Prix

Can anyone tell me the saddle used on a 1984 Raleigh Racing USA Grand Prix? I have done a substantial rebuild of an abused 1984, but the seat/saddle leather is in such bad shape that I want to replace it, I would like to replace it with the same seat, or something very similar. The condition is so bad that I can't tell what it is. I want a seat like the original seat, but it is fine if it is more modern, I just want a seat that rides like this one used to ride

The original was, I believe a Selle Royal unit, with Raleigh branding. Most of the one's I have built have received a Selle Italia Turbo. It feels right, and looks appropriate for the era.

Thank-you. I was thinking it might be Selle Italia, but this one has the leather supported from the rivet bar to the front by stretched springs. I would post a picture, but I am not allowed.
