How old is my Le Tour?
I bought my current Schwinn bike in the early 90s from a friend. Pretty sure it’s a Le Tour but even that is not 100% certain as whatever decal said that is long gone. I’m just trying to figure out its age. Front plate just says Chicago. Serial number is SI979892. TIA.

Welcome to the forums. It was manufactured in 1979 but could be either a 1979 or 1980 model. It's hard to tell from the low resolution, non-drive side photo.
