Heavy-duty rim suggestions
I commute everyday on a heavy-laden bike. I'm looking for suggestions for a heavy-duty rim for the rear tire. I was recommended at a LBS on a Rhino Lite Sun Ringle. I want to keep my Shimano Deore LX 32 hole hubs.

Rhyno Lites are very tough rims. I've built Rhyno Lite wheelsets for my sons to use on their freeride bikes and they have ridden some big drop offs and such with no wheel failures. The downside of Rhyno Lites is they are relatively difficult to install and remove tires.
Another option is Velocity Aero Heat (in 26") or Dyad (in 700c). They are a little lighter than the Rhyno Lites but are still a very tough rim. They are blessed with a fairly deep center section which makes them among the easiest rims to install and remove tires.
Both rims lace up really, really well. If you've ever considered building your own wheels, these are good rims for your first attempt. I built a set of Dyads last year for my tandem and had to do almost no trueing once they were brought up to tension.
