Cheshire Rail Trail MA/NH State Line
Well it's been almost a year since my last visit to the Cheshire Rail Trail, but this visit was with Ed. We got out a little later than expected, a little past 4pm and went to Troy and back. I know I'll visit this with my wife in a few weeks because this is her type of trail riding. A very nice trail with some nice scenery throughout.

thinking mountain bike w tires pumped harder than softer, but I have a hybrid that's faster. dunno conditions between Troy & Keene if you want to go that far. when I tried Ashuelot from Hinsdale to Keene it was an all day round trip event on the MTB but that was a rougher trail (that took 2 attempts) https://www.bikeforums.net/northeast...l-trail-2.html
can't trust Google's optimism for times, says it's only 1.5 hrs by bike. also says if we started in Keene it would be downhill going back? I'd have to research the start in Keene, cuz Ashuelot is also there. if they share a start it would be inconvenient to get on the wrong trail south!
for a 1st ride together, maybe we should keep it simple & modest?

We can keep it simple and like I did with Ed was see how we feel when we hit the old Fitzwilliam train station (half way point), and if we feel good then head up to the old train station in Troy. It's a little over 10 miles to Troy so it's about 21 miles total if we do an out and back. I would go with the mtb because we will run into a good little section that is muddy.

Thanks for the ride. Fun riding with such a strong athlete, really got me outside my comfort zone & I’m honored by the invite. Good quality trail & scenic!
Fun to see Mt Monadnock - bike is resting comfortably after earning it’s keep & after a wash for the mud
If these phone pics are too big I’ll edit them smaller
