Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Rear Derailleur Cage Length?

I plan to upgrade to Shimano sora R3000 groupset, but I'm unsure of what length derailleur cage I'll need. I'll be using front chainrings 50/34T and a cassette of either 11-30T or 11-32T. I do rarely cross chain. Should I be getting GS or SS?

Either would work fine in this case. GS would be better-behaved in the event that you tried to make your gearing wider in the future.
