Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Yeah, I think that I'm just going to slap some 3/4 ply on there for now, full width and height, so that I don't roll things off the back and behind the bench. Then I'll be able to mount anything anywhere whenever I want to.

He started to accelerate as he passed. Luckily for me, I decided to stop in preparation for turning back. That threw off his timing. The belches of smoke came out far enough ahead of me so as not to affect me.

I should prolly do some image searches for inspiration.
I'm a big fan of panel ranurado. Like pegboard but with horizontal grooves. Makes placing and using the hooks my ch easier

Years ago some punk-ass smoked us out and took off. There was traffic ahead and he had to stop. My friend, Viet Nam vet and willing to fight anyone, sprinted toward the truck. The driver freaked and turned right down a side street, almost hitting some kids in the cross walk. As in, they had to hustle to get out of his way.

It's a free-standing two-car garage or carriage house. He's got lots of workspace.

Only lesser Tennessee.

One of my postdocs is home in Italy for a job interview. She's due back next week, but thinks she'll get quarantined in Germany or some god-forsaken US military base on her way back. I told her to stay put for the duration if she wants to. This sucks.

On the bright side, I'll have my PRC 1400s tomorrow night or Sat a.m..

The Pegboard looks like a Pa*****o machine. I have one of those at home BTW, pics available on request.

Wait! Can't say pa*****o? Pa-chin-ko. "Japanese Pinball" amusement game.

Man.... I'm speechless, and that's somewhat rare. I've been trying to find something to say about that, and I simply can't.

Exactly.

Seriously, the time involved, the thought process, the ocd-ness of it, and the bench below that's obviously not ocd. It makes me twitch.

Looking at AirBNB's for an upcoming race. Found one that's $41/night, so I clicked on it. $150 cleaning fee plus other fees makes a $41/night cost $243.

I messaged them in the hopes that they accidentally slipped an extra zero in the cleaning fee and can't figure out why nobody wants to rent the room.

I have always had reservations staying in anything other than a hotel. I would stay in track owners homes, race promoters, and other drivers places when I hauled the race car, and never really liked it. They would offer, and the car owner had no trouble accepting on my behalf. Once we got a hotel as a sponsor, I was in 7th heaven.

I do prefer a hotel (privacy and whatnot), but an appropriately-priced Airbnb is $100 cheaper than a hotel.
