Stowe

I have a Stowe Terbo Airconquest. I know nothing about this bike. I picked it up in a house that I was cleaning out. I can not for some reason post photos. Any information on its value and where I could go to get some sort of rough appraisal would be deeply appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Good Morning and Welcome to the forums. It is tricky for new members to post pics, some security measure to cut down on bots and spam. If you upload your pics we can see in your album. you could try posting a link with an extra hyphen in it and trick the scurity. You could also email me some pics and I'll post them. Make sure to get some good pics of the graphics, tubing joints and any engravings on the frame. BianchiGirLL@yahoo.com

Is there a sticker that says what the tubing is? Nice looking bike but on the small side. The shimano 600 is a great component group. I'd say to the right buyer it might be worth $300+/-

The frame was built by Rob Stowe, his company was Stowe Phase 3 Cycles, I believe. He was/is out of Rochester, NY. He used to build bikes for Serotta. You can get a look at several of his frames just by googling Stowe Phase 3 Cycles as well as some info about him.
I did find one listed for sale for $600.00.

Any handbuilt frame may or may not have been customized for the buyer, so exact measurements will be helpful as well as angles, etc. Depending upon condition and size, there might be decent interest in it.

As bianchigirll says, post some pictures somehow and we'll give some recommendations.

Edit, as soon as I posted, the photos showed up! Obviously a small bike. That will limit interest but not kill it. I'll look more closely at the pics.

Conditon looks decent and bianchigirll is correct, the components are nice. The bike is set up for triathlons, so the rider probably competed. I would say that it would make a decent starter bike for an aspiring female triathlete. $300.00 in the right market isn't out of the question.
There appears to be a sticker at the bottom of the seat tube. Can you tell us what it says?

We had a taller Stowe (I think 25 inch) at the Buffalo Co-op that had a mix of parts but Campy brakes. I was leaning toward buying when it finally sold but it sat for at least 4 months so I think tugadude is right at his valuation. The Buffalo bike was in better shape but Western NY seems a bad place to sell nice bikes. Stowe doesn't seem that well known outside of the area so might be hard to sell on eBay as well.

stowe

sorry I did not respond sooner. Where would there be a sticker on the frame to determine what the tubes are made of? It is very light. I would guess the entire bike did not weigh more than 20 lbs

Usually on the seat tube. I see a sticker down by the bottom bracket, but it looks like a made in USA.

As a handbuilt, possibly custom, it might be he used different tubesets? I know some builders never put stickers of the tubing...you just assumed they used quality stuff.

thanks for the information. I have it in storage now. If I decide to list it what would be a good venue to attempt to sell this. And measurements such as pedal drum to top of frame, What else for measurements?
