Good price a Xootr Swift?

Hi peeps, I've been looking to replace my stolen Bike Friday. I came across this ad for a Xootr Swift on Facebook Marketplace. Any opinions on it? Is $325 a good price?

Seems pretty fair. They don't pop up for sale very often, so it's not a huge market to compare against.

If you need a taller stem mast, I'm not sure they're available anymore.

Paid $300 CDN ($227 USD) for mine, but that one on Facebook has been serviced. So $325 USD sounds in the ballpark.

The ad says it was "Listed 25 weeks ago in Portland, OR"

That alone might be your chance to get a deal.

What I like most about my Swift is it rides like a big boy bike and not like a folder.
I paid more for mine and it was money well spent. It is a keeper.
I checked the Xootr site and it looks like they have spare parts available.
You can offer less.
I suspect shipping will be extra.

I rode a Swift and considered it before I got my BF. It rode rather nicely, but it was stock and I definitely would have needed to change some components to be happy. Two major differences: steel versus aluminum frame (a difference I noticed and did not like), and the Swift is a "collapsing" bike rather than a folder. If those don't bother you, go for it at any reasonable price. There are some very long threads here from folks who have customized their Swifts and been super happy with the results. It's a good looking bike, too.

I like mine....easy to work on, standard parts, handles well and takes a 2" tires. However, older ones have thinner chainstays which have failed. Mine was made In the last few years of sales and are thicker. Other than that they are pretty stout. Price seems fair. Since a massive seatpost and two QRS hold it together it shouldn't fail in that area. Keep the seatpost greased. I would at least scan through the huge Swift thread to get some good info on these unique little bikes.

Jump on it. The Xootr Swift is the only bike I regret selling. Now that it's discontinued it's rare to see them for sale. Go for it!!!

Okay, so I went to try it out, only to find that it's too small for me; I probably should have asked for the seller's height. A real shame too, because it rides really well. I'm surprised at how close it felt to my Bike Friday, bad geometry aside. Ah well, maybe someone else might fit it right. Thanks guys.

The Swift is only sized by changing the seat post, stem post, and stem, so if you can adjust those parts, you could probably get it to fit better.

Try calling Xootr.

They have a stock of legacy parts because of sentimental reasons

A handlebar stem is available from Xootr, and a seatpost is as well. All parts are easily swappable. The Swift fits anyone.
