I got some quasi caps that are colored anodized as well that function as both a valve core remover and a schrader adapter so you can refill at a gas station if you get stranded on the road.

40t cassette with new derailleur
Will share pics on frame once I'm allowed to post images (10 post min before allowed to post a bike pic).
Stock 34-46 crankset (cx compact) with an 11x32t cassette and 105 derailleur long cage and 105 sti shifters. Everything works smoothly and fantastic stock however my first off-road trip revealed steeper Climbs than my legs could climb seated.
Figured a quick upgrade of cassette or smaller ring would be simple enough but nay not so in the world of road based, 2x cycling world.
I thought with a new gravel bike it would be so much simpler.
After a few Google searches i learned that Shimano "long cage" road is actually Medium and a 32t max value with a 34t minimum on my crank kinda sucks. I figured a 30t chainring or a 36t cassette would be a cheap and easy fix.
Nope.
Apparently however the newer Shimano derailleur which includes a clutch btw, although it says 32t actually works in the real world with a 40t. So assuming upgrading the entire crankset is even more $$, plus i like my top end gear of 46x11t, I purchased an 11x40t XT cassette along with the new Shimano Ultegra R8000. Both are beautiful and i dare say not heavier in total than the parts they replaced.
Note check out how to before beginning as i had the screw wrong initially for the derailleur install and thiught I made a horrible mistake. Also, suggest new cable for derailleur to avoid fraying the old one on install.
So far my legs are happy but next race up 20% gravel climb will tell.
Will update in 1 week.

It is my All-City Nature Boy 853. Pretty simple build:
Reynolds 853 frame, Whisky CF fork, TRP brake levers and calipers, A-Class wheelset (which is Alexrims's brand, cheap but nice and light), Schwalbe G-One tires, Sugino crank with TA ring, Surly cog, Simworks Wonderer handlebars and Ritchey Classic stem, Fabric saddle and I think Deda seatpost.
I had it for several years, it was built in many different ways including flat bars, Jones bars, 650B, etc but I think I settled on this for now - perfect rainy weather whip which will wear studded tires for winter rides

I'm going off topic here but the All City NBD has been built in a surprising number of configurations. The classy urban commuter shown below is probably one of the top five bikes I've ever seen posted on bikeforums.
Campy Record Pista cranks, burgundy bar with leather saddle...

I'm going off topic here but the All City NBD has been built in a surprising number of configurations. The classy urban commuter shown below is probably one of the top five bikes I've ever seen posted on bikeforums.

Just picked up the Bontrager Aeolus Pro 3V gravel wheels for my 2019 Revolt. Still waiting for my Dura Ace 160mm rotors to arrive.

Got a pair of Hope 20five Pro 4 wheels from Merlin. Just got the tires set up tubeless and can’t wait to take them out tomorrow.

Since the flask I purchased didn't have a secure method of attachment, I replaced it with a "mini" growler that attaches with a fidlock mount. Now it's insulated and carbonation capable.

This week I bought a gravel bike (Niner RLT 9 RDO 4-Star build) to keep my other gravel bike company (Giant TCX SLR 2). The blowout price of under $3k was too good to pass up, and something tells me the TCX will soon be for sale. Hoping it gets here from Excel Sports in the next week.

The original clip is sitting in a field near the start line of the Red Clay Ramble bike race in Eatonton, Georgia.
I'm going to chop the protruding end off two of the bolts to use with the Hope RX4 calipers which still are not installed on the bike. Using the spacer for 160 mm rotors vs OEM 140 mm rotors makes installing these calipers a bit more interesting than just bolting them on. One of two bolts on each caliper bottom out in the mounting hole and so two of these will be sacrificed to see if I can get it to work.
Ironically enough, I will not need the clips if the bolts work. Parts were cheap enough and working on the bike is one third of the fun.
As an aside, A-Main cycling has a nice selection of small parts and $1.99 flat rate shipping for anything which fits inside of a small padded envelope.
