it's fun to watch people drool. oh and it's nice to get some real respect now at outback (our lbs)... yay sexism.

I would say it’s not so much sexism as it is elitism. That fact you ride fixed now didn’t give you a penis, it just gave you a respectable bike.

Until you've walked around a day with boobs, sans penis, let me assure you that it is indeed sexism. The elitism is a whole other issue...

I'm still a fixie wannabe, but that will change in March (I think, depending on how much I managed to save in the next few months). If I'm still a non-smoker by then, I want to reward myself with the Mark V from Iro Cycle.

Until YOU'VE lived a day with a penis, you'll never really know how much nicer people are to ladies. Period.

If sexism is treating people differently based on gender, then women get more good than bad out of it, as long as you know how to keep from getting pushed around.

friggin do it. I used the patch - no probs so far. I smoked for the past 14 years, dropped down to about 5-7 a day and then dropped RJ Reynolds like a molotov. The bike alone PLUS a healthier life should be motivation enough. No more from me on this as I hated when people preached to me.
Much luck~ the IRO awaits...

How do YOU know until YOU'VE lived a day without one? I find your response ironic.

After all, women don't need equal pay to their male coworkers because men buy them free stuff in bars all the time, more than making up the difference. </sarcasm>

What are you talking about? I mean, dang?

i assure you.. in the long run.. you and others whose biology and innate sense of gender happen to match each other.. and happen to both be of the male persuasion.. will win out.

anyway, i did talk to rick at outback and he confirmed the elitism.. but you can't discount gender politics when you're talking about power dynamics. you can't discount sexism when you're talking about bicycles. otherwise there wouldn't be a need for a specific thread about and for people whose gender expression is female.

this quasi-debate is just 'tarded. it's a non-issue. in fact, this thread should just be closed and renamed : petite ppl who ride and talk about toe overlap way too much.
