Show Us Your Bikes Starting With K
Here's your chance to show us your bikes alphabetically!
It goes like this: every fortnight I'll start a new thread with a new letter in alphabetical order. Post your classic and vintage bikes that correspond to that letter, eg; C = Cinelli, Carlton, Ciocc. M = Mercian, Masi, Motobecane. And so on and so forth. The letter of the fortnight should correspond with the marque, not the model. For example; you could post your Tommasini Prestige in the T thread, but not in the P thread. If you're not sure, take a look at the word on your downtube. There's a grey area with people's names - Bruce Gordon, Claud Butler, etc., but I'll leave it up to the owners which thread is preferred. Make sense?
So let's see your Kuwaharas, KHS's and Kangaroos...seriously.

Kypo
In progress as I (slowly) collect parts. Kypo became Le Kypo for a period of time, but the decal on the head tube says 'Kypo Cycle Works', so K it is.

A project I hope to pick up later this summer year; A Koga-Miyata RoadAce. A chromoly-framed 3-speed with stainless steel parts. Needs some work but I hope to turn it into a 5-speed commuter bike for around town.

I shall take this opportunity to make some new photographs, but here's a place-holder. My main fair-weather bike since 2003:
Purchased as a new frame, but four years old, and I picked out every component myself:

I think you know how I feel about KYPO frames - absolutely love them. They are super nice to ride and I have done many, many miles on a KYPO. Stupid me sold my KYPO - what a regretful decision on my part.

Hi Last Ride 76, thanks very much. The brake set you're interested in is a little hard to come by. The brake set is a Weinmann Delta set and they did come in 2 versions from memory.
The seat cluster looks to be one that has been 'cobbled together' from a couple of clusters. I think this frame was an early development/experiment by the framebuilder as his lo-pro frames did develop further.

I bought this new in 1976 or so. I rode it hard for 2 years right after I bought it when my wife and I gave up cars for a while!
