Which 50+rs rode today (February 10th, that is)?

I did! (Of course, or I wouldn't be asking!)

Anyone else?

I rode, but most of the group wimped out when it started raining prior to our scheduled club ride. Four of us however hammered away in the rain. I loved the ride, but hated the bike cleanup afterwards.

I was able to get out for 20.7 miles this eve.
8 miles from the finish my chain broke
repaired it & rode back home
All said & done, it was a pretty good ride

I got about 10 miles in but misjudged the wind direction and felt like I had a lot of energy until I turned into the wind to go home.

I like the wind pushing me home instead!!!!!

I use a bike to commute so I ride every week day but only about 10/20k depending on the route, although this week it rained on Thursday morning so I drove. I rode today Friday (Aus).

Tomorrow I'll train with my friendly tri group, about 50+k at an average of 32/34k per hr. Sunday I'll do a 1hr crit., with the 'Vets' club I support and Monday afternoons I do another 1hr crit with an open club.

Improving in leaps and bounds and loving it.

11 miles in one hour. Not fast but cold and hilly. Been trying to ride one hour per day or to exercise for one hour per day. So far have done well in February but did not do well in January.

It was yesterday, the 10th, when I did my usual 17 mile weekday ride. That was my third ride this week, my last until Sunday (usual Saturday ride is being replaced by a bass tournament). It was almost 60 degrees, cloudy, and not much wind.

We got over an inch of rain today, but I did jog 4 miles in the morning, on my way to work.

Hello to all. Rode today for the first time in 28 years. Sore bottom. Had to try my new Cannondale Prophet 600. Glad to be back.

Feb 12th, 30+ miles, Us 'not-retired folks' have a hard time on working days. Would commute but too dangerous my route. Broke a 100 for the year - Yea slow start! But ahead of last year.

Hey 'I'm Back" way to go!!! 28 years, lets see, I was 29 going on 30. Couldn't do 30 miles then. Couse I had my Varsity instead of a Litespeed!

February 12 "ride"

Wife and I journeyed to the Greenland Open Space exit (167) off of I-25 to the Douglas County area of 33,000 acres of open space and conservation easement.

We found the 10 mile loop trail - quite muddy yet. Rode our mtn bikes on some nearby dirt county roads, and had fun. Walked on the trail for about 1 mile out. Another hiker told us that it was quite beautiful a bit further out.

40's and breezy. Managed two short rides, about 2 hours total.
I'm using clipless pedals for the first time, so it was more of a trial run vs. a work out... BUT... after about 6-8 miles on the Cap City Trail, I'm beat. I got a long way to go.

I managed to not fall down once with the clipless pedals!

30 miles in February in Milwaukee. That is unusual for me. It's usually not this warm in February. It's my first time off the trainer this year. It felt great!

Okay, it wasn't 2/10 but I was able to get out and ride on 2/12. The temperature was nice (in the 50's) with bright sunny skies but unfortuately we had winds in the 10-15 mph range all day. I wanted to do a long ride and managed to put in 85 miles before I said ENOUGH!! Where I live, I had to ride out with the wind to stay on rural roads and unfortunately that meant the return trip was directly into a steady, unforgiving headwind. It was great to get out and explore roads I wasn't that familiar with although it took me a LOT longer than I would have liked.

Did a Feb. 12 ride on my Bacchetta Hi-racer. 35.5 miles with 9 other roadies. 35F at the start and 45F at the finish. Almost dead calm winds. Doesn't get any better than that!

My husband and I rode 26 km today Feb. 13 in -5 Celcius with a slight wind. It was damn cold! Need to buy some chemical boot and mitt warmers. Nice and sunny though. Back to the trainer tomorrow.
