Houston, TX cargo bikers
Hello. It's been a while, but I'm well again, just older.
1. Are there any cargo bikers in the Houston Area, or Spring/Klein - Woodlands area? I see recumbents on the greenway but no cargo bikes. It's not the best biking area. Just wondering if we're getting more pedal oriented.
2. Anyone have experience recommendations for/with old 27" gravel bike tires? Our local riding conditions are major disaster. I need some new rubber for my old bikes.

I saw a fairly a new bakfiets-style bike parked in the Energy Corridor.
I run errands but with 90’s rigid mountain bike and a trailer.

I've got a cargo bike, but I'm in east NC. Also humid, swampy, and flat, if that's any help.
But for 27" gravel tires, I've been using Kenda K161s for a few years (mine are blackwall, not gumwall), and I'm very happy with them. Grippy enough and no flats. Wouldn't recommend them on smooth asphalt, though. https://www.biketiresdirect.com/prod...tire?v=0000000

Dallas area cargo biker here. I use my bike to run errands such as grocery runs, Home Depot, etc. I plan my routes based on trails, neighborhood roads, parking lots... I try to avoid lager thoroughfares wherever possible. Lot of that maybe applicable to Houston as well.

Work at a west Spring food bank on weekends. See alot more shopping bikes in the area. and we get half a dozen homeless bikers show up every Sat. different ones because we're an 'only' monthly place. they show up in groups with milk crate or other jurry rigged baskets front or rear. looks like they take care of their bikes, new tires even. looks like the cargo bike revolution isn't gonna be a high end affair.
