Cage That Keeps Camelbak Podium In It
I have an Elite bottle cage but my Camelbak Podium constantly wants to "walk out" of it irrespective of which way I turn it and try to line up the dimples in the bottle with the "retainer" on the cage whenever I'm on anything slightly bumpy which is a pain because that's the time you don't want to let go of the bars to push it back in.
There's a link here to the cage I have

Has anybody else had the same and found a cage it doesn't happen with ... I'm tempted to try one of these adjustable ones to see if it makes a difference

a thick rubber band around the CB might be just enough to retain it in position.

I accidentally left my Podium bottles at home, and had to use a spare generic bottle. I had forgotten how those pull-out valves are kind of annoying -- the squeeze to drink silicone valve in the Podiums is much better.

Been using that style for over 5 years, no bottles launched. Doesn't budge on offroad double track/gravel.

+2. I have used my Podium bottles while riding my road bike with King cages. No problemo.
With that said, I had cheap, Trek cages on my touring bike. They worked fine as well. They finally broke after several years and I replaced them with cheap, generic cages, which also worked well.

Maybe the one I've got just isn't a great fit for that particular bottle.
The king cages are expensive over here (UK) ... I might try the Bontrager RL 1st as it has a bigger ratining lip than the one I have and see how that works out, I need a couple of cages and hive different bottles so if it's no good just use it for another bottle and get a King Cage for the Camelbak.
Cheers for the replies everyone

King cages here are about $18 to $20 in the US. What are they gouging for them there? I think they are made by a small company in Colorado. There must be similar steel cages available elsewhere.
I also have Minoura aluminum (aluminium) cages that have never failed to hold large Camelback bottles since 2014. (They do mark them up a bit).

I got them shipped from Japan. I wanted something nice to match my Chris Bling.

May be your cage
I have over a dozen different cages that I have used and never had a Podium bottle come out. You may want to try a different cage. Many good suggestions by others.

I've worked out what's actually causing it, my bottles on a handlebar mount as my framebag meant there was no space to fit one on the seat or down tubes and I guess just gives it more "bounce"
I've bought a new bike with more space and it's on the downtube and haven't had a problem although the cage suggestions were all useful as I'm keeping the old bike so suggestions have gone on the Xmas list so thanks for everyone's help :-)

If you need a lightweight carbon cage for a good price, Ive been using Wiel Carbon Cages that come as a 2 pack for 27 on amazon. These are great cages, superlight and hold onto the bottles better than the RL.

I'm a big fan of the Arundel Sport cages. Great cages and relatively cheap. ...And they secure a Podium Chill bottle just fine.

they seem OK in my old American classic water bottle cages..
(mine even older , than this .. just a black tube (rather than this custom molded piece)
You can always add a toe strap around any cage and tighten the strap when the trail gets rough.
