Hi! Does anyone know how much could be a Columbia 1979 Tandem? I have one of this in perfect condition but donīt know the value. Sorry I canīt post an image or a link to show the sample because Iīm new user here.

You'll need to post up a picture of your actual bike. You'll also need to let us know when it was last overhauled, if ever. Also, posting your location is helpful.

Unfortunately the answer is not much. Columbia is not a high-end brand and used Tandems are a tough sell. Custom and hand-made tandems often sell used for $250 and less, with top end tubing and components. Good condition always helps, but Columbia & Tandem, are 2 strikes in the value dept. Take a look at this thread - https://www.bikeforums.net/tandem-cy...ispreloading=1 most of these bikes lingered for sale for months. I saw the frames from a few for sale for $30 after someone had stripped off all the valuable parts. I would say if your bike is in good condition/ready to ride I would ask $100-$150 and I would likely take whatever I was offered, if an offer is made. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news

Edit: I was having a feeling of Déjā Vu, in the thread posted above I made this post https://www.bikeforums.net/22909589-post282.html (same as your bike?) This bike lingered for sale for months, don't know if it finally sold or just un-listed? Cool looking but low-end, I still say take what you can get.

Edit#2: Now see "not for sale" so my appraisal is don't put much money into this bike, if you like it ride it.

IMO those bicycles are not much more than novelty items.
Totally fine to ride around the RV park to get to the club house and back with one of your grand kids on the back, fun for a few minutes until the novelty wears off. There is a reason it is in "perfect condition", probably because it is not that much fun to ride for more than a little while, in a totally flat area.
Tandems in general are a hard sell, these are low end bike boom bikes.
I'll go out on a limb and say three fifty, three dollars and fifty cents.

I haven’t seen a drive train like that before…a single chain using the idler to catch stoker chain ring teeth?

You can't tell from that photo, but the rear crankset has two chainrings. The inner chainring on the rear shares a chain with the front chainring. The idler wheel under the boom tube is used to adjust the slack of that inner chain. The use of Ashtabula cranks necessitates that arrangement.
