Pics from today
New neighbor wanted to go out for a ride. He wants to do a century but wants to do a 60 first. So on the 21st I'm riding a the Little River Bike Tour 60 with him (I was going to do the century) and then on the 28th my wife, the neighbor, and myself are doing the CRAM century.
So he wanted to ride today. He got the map for the CRAM 60 and we *sort of* followed it...except we started at our houses and biked to the start of the 60. Winds were 10-20MPH.
Anyway, pics.
Stopped 36 miles in for Gatorade, water, a Snickers, a Coke, and a big blueberry muffin. I had coffee and a bagel for breakfast.
Yup, we're flatlanders.
He rode through here - I didn't. Not with the HEDs. It came up to his axles - which means he needs to service the axles and BB.
Since I wasn't riding through the water I had to find a route around it. Tossed the bike on the shoulder and headed for the tracks.
Passing engine.
Hoofed it for over 1/4 mile easy. Neighbor can be seen under the trees on the right.
Final distance was 73.5 miles. We did it in 4:27:33.
Not a bad day. The neighbor definitely got his 60 in (and then some) so he's happy and feels much more confident in doing a century.

Nice pics. Thanks for sharing. We need more of this rather than all the foo in the 41.

Years ago, one of our members was stalked by a mystery cyclist. He managed to get a few blurry shots of him but could never catch him. When I saw this pic, I thought that at last he'll learn the identity of his longtime stalker.

Also on the 21st is the Little River Cycling Club's century/60/30/family ride. I'm surprised they scheduled it for the same date as the tour de nash.

...and from today's solo ride.
Wanted to go out for some easy spinning and ride new areas. Ended up doing 52.25 in 3:10. And, of course, it was windy. Constant 15 or so. And following with the law of wind to a cyclist, no matter which way you turned it was a headwind.
Warp Drive is engaged.

Coy's BBQ in Elkton, KY. I was looking forward to a pulled pork sandwich but ended up with a polish sausage.
With sauteed onions and mushrooms
My lunch view.
Other than a pack of persistent dogs, it was a good ride. Started off overcast and somewhat cool then the sun came out and heated things up quite a bit.
