Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Quarq customer service experience.

I'm amazed at how great of customer service Quarq provides. I called them on Monday wanting to buy a new battery cover to replace the one I broke. Not only would they not allow me to pay for it, I received it on Tuesday.*

Doesn't get much better than that.

I called Orvis (the clothing mail order place) and told them the cool wallet my wife got me for Xmas 18 months ago had a stitch loose. They are sending me a new one, no questions asked. $69 wallet. That's what builds long term customer loyalty.

I killed a Quarq / Rotor in a race (spider detached from crank). They were very good with the whole situation. The only holdup was finding a Rotor crank -- which is the part that failed -- and I think Quarq ended up getting a buyback from the US distributor so they could get my crank back to me.

Quarq fan for life.

FWIW - Saris is in the middle of swapping over product lines and seems to be running low or out on a LOT of stuff. Still not getting a lot of word on new product availability and pricing.

Oh and +1...I obviously have a dog in this race, but not only is everyone at Quarq that I have met face to face a genuinely good person, they understand customer service. I find it a pleasure to call them to place new orders. I can't say that about all of my suppliers.

Quarq is awesome. I had some issues with mine and they sent me a prepaid shipping label, and had it back to me within a week. Great people.

Wanted to post a follow up. I was having some issues with my Quarq so I spoke to them about it last week. I let them know what it was doing (cutting off, having problems calibrating, etc). I also let them know that I was doing the MS150 last weekend so I wanted to wait until Monday to ship it to them. They informed me that if I shipped it on Monday (with their provided label), they would receive it on Wednesday and ship it back the same day so I would receive it on Friday.

Well, I shipped it on Monday, they received it on Wednesday but they didn't ship it out until Thursday. I guess since it was delayed they weren't able to do two day shipping back, they shipped it overnight instead. I just received it a few minutes ago. You just can't ask for better service.

They replaced the electronics pod, said they have had issues with them. They also sent me a free water bottle and two extra magnets. Quarq really is top notch.
