These may be pedal extenders. You can use them is you want your pedals a bit further out. Is the thread the same as pedals? One would be left hand thread, and the other would be right hand thread.

How big are they? It is difficult to tell from the picture.

They are Threaded doohickeys or maybe whatchicajickers. One of the two. On a serious noteI am unsure. The pedal extender thing could be something but they seem a bit long and certainly don't have any wrench flats or demarkations as many of them do.

Maybe not an extender but a pedal thread conversion from one spec to another i.e. 9/16ths to 1/2in

It is a pedal extension. The pedal has the flats for the wrench and the extension has the hex for the allen wrench. Tighten down the pedal to the extension, hand thread the combo into the crank, tighten with the allen wrench through the back of the crank. Left and right hand thread, two pieces.
Frank.

Actually, you don't need an allen wrench to tighten. Just thread the extender onto the pedal (with grease), then thread the extender into the crank arm (with grease). Tighten the pedal with a pedal wrench and you're done. Both tighten simultaneously. It's the removal that gets challenging!
