Bicycle Blogs

Hi all.

I'm wondering if in these days of social media saturation anyone follows any bicycling blogs any longer. I know back several years ago, BikeSnob was something to read regularly and Lovely Bicycle I remember fondly. I used to write a semi-regular column on bicycling about a hundred years ago and I was thinking of starting again, but I don't know if the whole idea is already anachronistic. Who, if anyone, do you follow?

Thanks in advance,
Keith.

BikeSnob moved his blog. It is still there (at least as of last night).

I remember enjoying his writing quite a lot. But the recent stuff, I agree, isn't as interesting. He has written five books and kept that blog for about 100 years in Internet time. It's got to be difficult to continue to have epiphanies on the regular.

I am not sure if Crazy Guy On A Bike qualifies as a "blog" (only). I used to very much enjoy reading there. A couple of the people's journey are saga like epics. In general there were a few things about the site that turned me off, but mostly just that it seems all people want to do is post pages of pics with no real discussion. I still check in from time to time to see if a few of my favorites are back out on the road.

The woman (I am blanking on her name) who wrote Lovely Bicycle got a new start recently with pancogcycle.com, but she seems to have let the website expire. She's on instagram at: https://www.instagram.com/pancogcycle/ Personally, I'm hungry for bike blogging. I got into cycling about 2 years ago and it felt like the heyday of bikeblogs has already passed. I think I more or less read Lovely Bicycle over a weekend.

I like the blog but I had to disconnect from the daily "what tires should you have" emails.

I really, from past years, enjoy Grant's Blug as I did "the Reader".

Thanks for all who chimed in. I really appreciate it. I've written a couple of things. I don't know if I'd really call it a blog quite yet, but I'm working on new stuff. If anyone has a chance or is otherwise looking for a sleep aid: bykeithbrown.com

Thanks again.

I do a little writing on my blog about my vintage racers and some of my rides. It is fun to write things down about riding a bike, for most of us it is a passion . I actually enjoy working on and building the older bikes. Joe joesvintageroadbikes.wordpress
