I feel like $2500 buys you a lot of new bike, possibly even Ti. Hard to pay that for an older used merckx.

Even if that's genuine and not a decal job, that downtube is hideous.

I'm just not seeing Al-sized fillets on the advertised Merckx.
Seatstay diameter is obviously smaller than that AluMega.
Seller isn't really trying, so the ask seems outta the ball park to me.

This is Eddy Merckx Titanium from 2000 built in Meise with Litespeed tubes - an extremely rare thing (with preserved original stickers). One such type falls on 100 built in TN - now you can return to the valuation.

It's a very rare "thing", I don't even have anything to compare it to...
In EMC, you should always check 2 places:
- BB cover on the bottom - serial number (should be H or J and max 4 digits)
- a card/markings for a steering tube - this may be a problem, because this fork doesn't have to be "factory-made"... but just in case, I would take a picture of all the markings.
