New Passoni Titanio
In March I ordered a Passoni through WrenchScience in Berkley. Yesterday the frame has arrived. Below are a few pictures of the frame. The times we live in are crazy; the frame was stuck at the customs for a few days because the dealer didn't enter "the purpose for the item" on the custom forms... (wild guess - it's a bike frame so someone will build a bike!)

Well, as nice as that frame is, someone could have been putting it on their wall as an art display. Don't laugh-we once sold a leather western horse saddle to someone who didn't have a horse-you guessed it--they are displaying it in a room in their home.

Enjoy your new titanium bike and hopefully many many many many more. I am building up my third and just got the final bits in so I can put it together in all its 90s 3DV glory.

Gorgeous, I can’t wait to see it built out with Campy all around and handmade Veloflex tires, Pirellis would be a solid choice too!!

Damn, that's a good-looking bike - the tricolor on the brake cable is a nice subtle touch (but a Campagnolo* drivetrain would've killed you?

The craftsmanship on this bike is amazing. When you get close you understand why it takes 40 hours for a finish like this. However - it is easy to smudge / leave fingerprints. I thought the satin finish of my RSL is high maintenance - the shiny Passoni is even worse. Tomorrow - the maiden ride.

I am doing a stainless Cicli Barco build and now I am convinced to do a tapered head rube.

The way the Passoni is setup is such that everything is thick in the front: fork, headtube and stem.

What you say makes sense.. However, take a second look at the headtube. It's thick and it's long (16.8 cm). The Ti stems I found are too skinny and would emphasize the headtube's size and thickness in a way I personally like less than this setup. I also have an "everything Ti" Moots RSL and this time I wanted to try something different.
The way the Passoni is setup is such that everything is thick in the front: fork, headtube and stem.

The build is stiff. Love it. Very different compared to the Moots RSL - which is what I intended. A bit more stable at high speed. It feels connected to the road in a visceral way. It definitely puts a smile on my face. I guess on a longer ride I will like the Moots better - the fork, the handlebar, etc are less stiff. However, for a 1 or 2 Diablo climbs the Passoni won me over.
Both bikes I have are custom and the dimensions are almost identical; the Moots toptube has a higher slope. The Passoni has thicker toptube, downtube, chainstais, etc.
