Show Us Your Bikes Starting With T
Here's your chance to show us your bikes alphabetically!
It goes like this: every fortnight I'll start a new thread with a new letter in alphabetical order. Post your classic and vintage bikes that correspond to that letter, eg; C = Cinelli, Carlton, Ciocc. M = Mercian, Masi, Motobecane. And so on and so forth. The letter of the fortnight should correspond with the marque, not the model. For example; you could post your Tommasini Prestige in the T thread, but not in the P thread. If you're not sure, take a look at the word on your downtube. There's a grey area with people's names - Bruce Gordon, Claud Butler, etc., but I'll leave it up to the owners which thread is preferred. Make sense?

These pictures are about 4 years old. Wheels, saddles, seat posts and other components have been swapped out on all three bikes.

This was a Trek 400T, but I swapped some parts from the bin: Brooks saddle, Shimano tri-color drive train, Shimano Exage wheels, and Tectro dual pivot brakes. I like it as it sits, but I may play around with the final configuration over the winter.

Nothing special, just some Treks....
I had the 560 Pro, wanted to like it but the bike just never stood out in the stable. New owner does love it though.
Then I guess these count here. They are fairly old.
This is the NOS frame I found this past winter and built up with Ultegra 11 speed.
More current shot with the better wheel setup.
This one is a year earlier and quite rough compared to the new one. It's a 9 speed setup and geared for speed over climbing.
This one had the rattling shifters issue. Fixed the one side by tightening the screw holding the inner paddle but realized the other is missing the screw. Still need to fix that.

Just one T bike for me. The last Trek left in my stable (out of four). This PCed and completely changed-around 1989 400 made from True Temper tubing. Shimano 600 group pushing way more gears than ever intended; but somehow it all works. Tight bike.

I expect Trek to be the most popular response. I am not an exception. Maybe I should start a collection of Italian bike that start with letters from the alphabet!
Purchased with rattle can paint job and drewed DO's. Modified to replace drewed parts plus rack mount and shifter terminals. 1984 Trek 610 - a sport tourer.

I now have a C&V Trek This year's birthday bike is an '84 500, if not classic it's at least vintage. Just outfitted with better lighting for club rides now starting in the dark. Still using Fuji wheels as the original Matrix Strada rear was damaged.

Thanks. What's even cooler, IMO anyway, is that the chrome isn't real chrome, but silver paint covered with clear lacquer. A special treat on many Belgian frames from that period. WRT to its size, well, I've got the inseam that I've got ...
