Looking for a Jamis Citizen 3

Hi All,

I realize that right now may not be the time to buy a new bike considering the Covid-19. But I'd like to give it a shot.
If anyone knows where I can get my hands on a

2019 or 2020 Jamis - Citizen 3 - 17 Inch.
Cond: New, Used and good

Please let me know.
Ken

You could check your local or semi-local dealers However one they are probably out. I wonder why the Citizen 3? It is not that exceptional of a bike. It is O.K. enough but nothing to really seek out too hard.

Hi Clark, I'm not an expert rider.. I'm just the run of the mil recreational rider that rides alone and with his family a few times a week. Honestly, I tried the Jamis Citizen a couple of years back and was instantly attracted to the bike in every which way and form. I rented it while at a rental home out in the outer banks and fell in love with the bike. When I returned the rental bike the bike shop owner told me that the Jamis Citizen 2 was coming out in 2019 and it was by far a better bike and now the 3 is out and I figured the 3 has some Kool features. I'm sure you know a hell of a lot more about bikes than I do but that basically how I came about the citizen 3. But considering that this old bike that I have is falling apart, I really need another bike without breaking the bank. I would be keen at hearing out other bike suggestions in the category of the Citizen 3. Basically the best bang for your buck on a bike.

Thanks Again, Kenny

The Commuter 3 is the highest in that line so I wouldn't go lower for sure.

If you are attracted by rack and fenders those can be put on a whole lotta bikes and if you dig Jamis, the Coda Elite or Sequel would be a good place to look. Steel is real, real comfortable and real durable.

If you dig the upright position I would say look at the Specialized Roll Comp X1 but those are sold out completely but are really comfortable with the wider tires and more upright position and the 1X10 drivetrain is of decent quality and easy to use and less weight then a 2x system. I wouldn't look at the other Rolls unless I was swapping out drivetrains and maybe brakes which I don't recommend doing on a new bike (usually a sign you should go for a better bike in the first place)

If you really did love the Commuter 3 out of other bikes you have ridden go for it. There are worse bikes out there to get.

ksan71....if you lived anywhere near Toronto, Ontario, Canada, RB Inc has the 2018 Jamis Citizen 3 in-stock (17", 19", 21") $599 CDN.

Thanks Speedway.. I'm looking into it.. Sent them an email to see if they still have it stock and whether they deliver to the US.
And then the big question, how much is the shipping. But thanks so much, I'll keep you posted and see what happens.

Nope.. Tried them all week. Seems like RB Inc are out of business or closed. Sent them emails as well and no answer.
Now that I think about it. That must be a site with older listings as it was kind of strange that they had 3 of the Jamis Citizen 3 available.
Thought I hit the jackpot but no.. Thanks anyway for the info.. I have to keep trying.
