Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Sheesh, that's a fancy frame for the price. Good job shopping around.

My first road bike ever. I built this from parts purchased online as a reward for dropping to 180 lbs from 245+ utilizing proper diet, resistance training and riding a modified Walgoose hybrid.

I've been slowly upgrading parts since I bought this bike last July.

My buttocks are much happier with the Fi'zi:k Arione CX K:IUM saddle. I call it my barely there saddle since I hardly notice it!

My feet are vastly happier with the Shimano Ultegra pedals and Sidi Genius Pro 5 shoes. I was getting very ugly hot spots under the ball of my feet.

I'm 50-something and my back wasn't liking the traditional laid out sitting position so I replaced the stock stem with a 3T 80mm stem.

The next upgrade is going to be those white wall tires. They are way too slippery in the wet and are a pain to keep clean! I'm thinking Michelin Pro 3's or Conti 4000's.

Vertigo, you are worrying about keeping your tires clean? Just curious. Nice ride though. I do agree that the tires look a little too white for the bike, And I know that those tires are slippery in the rain. Especially if it JUST started raining.

+1.

Why not just leave it as it is? No need to be ashamed of the chinese carbon. Branding it as Colnago though is pretty lame.

Yes. I don't know Colnago very well, have only seen a few of them, but that bike doesn't look quite right. Don't take offense, it looks great for what it is, but a Colnago it is not.

Why would you want to do that anyway? If you didn't want bear carbon I'm sure you could find some cool decals to put on it that didn't make you look like a rolling knock off.

Go to an automotive dealership and be very nice to them....I have a friend that works at one and I will probably have my bike painted this winter lime green or purple for less then $200.

They're whitewalls. I feel compelled to keep them as clean and crisp as the rest of the bike. Dats all...
