Sorry, the cars are Bimmers. The bikes are Beamers (or Beemers).

And here's an alternate take on that.

Sorry, but the presumed pronunciation of "Bimmer" has never been uttered in the Central time zone. And BMW makes motorcycles. We talk about bikes here.

from the ad: "needs handlebars and breaks but with a little effort would be an excellent ride".
two thoughts:
1) If you hadn't ridden with out (sic) breaks, you wouldn't have rear ended the stopped car.
2) it doesn't need breaks,it is already broken.

Maybe it's a Bates Diadrant fork? Those are very sought-after by collectors -- better buy it!

I guess I should be careful in case there are impressionable children around... No, this isn't a Bates. Pretty clever though, to just turn the ruined fork around. He should consider a career in politics. Etymology: from ancient Greek, from the root word Poly meaning "many", plus Tics, meaning "blood-sucking parasites".

Incidentally, (accidentally) the text reads "wound be an excellent ride." I bet there were some wounds involved, in the (accidental) effort that produced these forks...

But heck, if I lived near the bike, I would be very tempted to bring a a stem and bars, set-up with a front brake, and see if the bike is rideable as it is. The bends look so smooth, it looks like it might be. Definitely unique. (Sometimes, I forget I've grown up at all.)

A thing of wonder, to be sure.

This is just a tarted-up Walmart Mongoose Dolomite. For some reason the big online community for over-improving fat tire BSOs attracts crazy people. Too bad the aero kit's not included because I would have liked to advertise my allegiance to Canada, Mavic, Lamborghini, and Batman respectively.

There's a lot of text with the ad, but none of it mentions that the bike only turns left.
