What are some good sites that sell bike stuff for good prices?

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I like performancebike.com, but I also got some great deals from pricepoint.com. Competitivecyclist has awesome fire sales sometimes. I bought a $200 selle Italia saddle once for $49!

I got a Sram group this year at https://www.cyclesport.com/road-bike for literally half price. It was nice because you could mix and match, too.

I have no long term experience with them, but Western Bikeworks seems pretty decent with a sample size of one order. Their non-sale prices are pretty normal, but they seem to like giving you 15% off coupons for things like placing your first order, joining their mailing list, or just remembering to breathe out after breathing in. I'm sure someone will rain on my parade who has more experience with them.

I use ebay for most of my accessories. If I can get a good discount at my LBS through my buddies, I will do that. 3rd choice is realcyclist. weight wennie stuff at fairwheel.com, torontocycles.com or jerseycycles.com

A good local bike shop, keep them in business, pay what they ask, they are not getting rich.

There's a thread in the General Cycling forum about positive experiences with various types of bicycle shops, online and otherwise.

https://www.bikeforums.net/showthread...ed-businesses?

It's quite long, full of all sorts of places.

Universal cycles is my go-to for QBP catalog items. It helps that they have a warehouse close enough that I get overnight delivery at standard shipping charges for most items.

I would love to support my LBS more often. And maybe the ones in my area just aren't 'good'.

But as often as not when I go in to buy even wear items like cassettes they will have maybe 2-3 in stock and not what i'm looking for. They will offer to order what i want and have it in 2-3 days. So basically they have a QBP account and want me to pay msrp for the privilege of driving back to pick it up when I could have shipped to my door at probably less money.

Sorry, but that business model doesn't work for me.

REI for some things. Unbeatable return policy for members, 15% rebate if you use their CC. Good sales at times...

I pretty much always check Amazon. I've gotten a lot of things through Amazon; chains, chain rings, cassettes, replacement brifters, lights, misc parts, Park tools....

I just put together a bike. I spent about 80% online and 20% at the LBS.

Used; Jenson, Nashbar, and Tree Fort. Had good experiences with each.

In the past I've had positive experiences with Ribble and ProBikeKit.

While that may work, some websites list a false msrp and then sell the item for actual msrp, giving the illusion that you are saving money.

not exactly cheap, but they sell some pretty cool stuff

also https://www.bicyclebuys.com/ which has good prices, but they get you at shipping cost.

Just like my LBS. I stop by in the afternoons every week or so and it just so happens that a Pizzeria is around the corner of the strip mall... it's a shame I don't eat pizza.
