How to get rid of the 'bulge' in your lycra?

Notices
Road Cycling It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle. -- Ernest Hemingway

You're assuming that what women enjoy, and what they say they enjoy, are the same thing. For all you know, women may have all kinds of quirky prefs that they don't tell men about.

Wow. This thread is insane. I'll try to address everything I read in order:

Roger - Don't worry about the bulge. Nobody can see it while you are riding, unless you are sitting up like Boonen, and even so - he's winning so who the f*ck cares?

I run a pretty big drop between bars and saddle, so for racing and hard rides, I have it pulled up to my belly like Boonen (and most racers). However, when/before I get off, its not too difficult to discretely adjust myself so I'm down and to the right. I wouldn't walk around or stand on the podium like that - but neither does Boonen.

my58vw - are you serious about getting a sex change? Jesus I need to come here more often. You better stop taking the testosterone and get a head start before you start growing a beard. You'll probably clean up in women's cat 3 though.

Roger, people aren't really stuffing their shorts, they are joking. I hope....

If you're worried about the pubes, either shave or trim it. I've shaved before, but not for cycling and I find I get irritated really easy if I'm riding a lot with it shaven. I do trim it down a lot though, enough that its only a little longer than stubble (so as to look natural, but not bushy).

Holy crap I can't believe i just said that..

Also, anybody ever get "excited" during like a long climb or time trial. Its happened to me a couple times, and I've heard to people I know. Basically it goes like this. Your HR is low, you are seated. You start climbing, your HR picks up, but you are still seated. Then after probably too long, you decide you are going to stand up, work the quads, stretch your back, etc. Suddenly there is an increase in blood flow to your soft parts and they uh... aren't so soft anymore. First time that happened to me I was like. HEh. UH..... down boy. I was just hoping the ride leader wasn't going to call a rest-stop / regroup a for a little bit. Having a massive hard-on would be awkward, and it would have been noticeable even seated. heh

wow....

nah! that's just preparation stuff. She also used to do hair removal stuff for a living. So it's really no big deal to her and I get it done professionaly. She's been trying to get me to wax! You should here some of the stories of the supposedly upscale and pure "ladies" that used to be her clients. 2 dollar crack hoars (darn pc crap) are cleaner!

I have noticed that as well, probably partly because it - as you stated - has been quite inactive (even cut off from any blood supply maybe, depending on your position) and then suddenly gets clearence through a huge amount of blood.

Hehe.

The model in the see through dress is slender but she's not emaciated...there's plenty of flesh on her body. She looks like Kate Hudson...is she Kate Hudson?

I would not say PLENTY of flesh. But at least she has *some* padding over her ribs, which is more than you can say for most women in the limelight.

I'll admit to peeking at the package when surrounded by Lycra-clad fellows at a bike race. But it's the rear view that really makes me happy -- mmm, tight cycling butt in Spandex.
